About Dorkey

A quieter place to get faster.

Dorkey is a lightweight typing speed test for people who want clear feedback without accounts, noise, or unnecessary complexity.

What Dorkey is

Dorkey turns a long English passage into a focused typing practice session. It measures real typing behavior as you go, then gives you a private result with WPM, CPM, accuracy, errors, and a personal rank.

What the numbers mean

WPM means words per minute and estimates speed using five typed characters per word. CPM means characters per minute and reflects the amount typed. Accuracy compares correct characters with all typed characters, while errors show mismatches.

Why it exists

Typing is a foundational skill, but practice tools often bury the simple experience under dashboards and distractions. Dorkey keeps the important loop visible: start, type, learn, try again.

How it works

Choose a duration, type the randomized passage, and use the live feedback to find a comfortable pace. Results are stored only in your browser for the current experience; there is no account or leaderboard.

Created with care

Dorkey was created by Eagox Studio and Al Shahriar Sowan.
